Sadly, within the past few weeks, we have had a number of our animals attacked and worried by dogs. This has resulted in the death of a beautiful pregnant deer and 5 heavily pregnant sheep. As I’m sure you understand this is extremely distressing for all of our staff who go through great lengths to ensure the welfare of our animals. We would like to politely remind everyone that Eridge Park is a private estate and would ask all dog walkers not to stray from any Public Footpaths, which are clearly signposted, and to keep their dogs on a short lead and under control at all times.

Please take note of the following law The Animal Act 1971 which protects livestock and that your dog could be shot if it is found to be worrying animals, with any person who is a keeper of the dog is liable for the damage caused.

We would be grateful if you would share this information with everyone within the community to ensure we do not have any more unnecessary animal attacks at Eridge Park.
