Eridge Park provides a breathtaking film location. Dating back prior to 1450, it has over 3,000 acres of beautiful private parkland and many historic features, both architectural and natural. Its diverse landscape and buildings make it the ideal setting for a variety of shoots from full-length feature films to product launches and still shots. On the border of Kent and East Sussex, it is in glorious, rolling countryside yet is it easily accessible from London, Gatwick and Heathrow airports, Eurostar and Ashford International.
The vast, unspoilt landscape features Britain’s oldest deer park, lakes, springs, caves, rock outcrops, woodland, farmland and countryside. The grounds and gardens benefit from panoramic views across the deer park and woodland.
The woodland extends over more than 1,000 acres, ranging from more open style planting to the ancient woodland at Saxonbury Hill, site of an iron-age hill fort and Saxonbury Tower.
The Estate encompasses numerous buildings covering a variety of periods and architectural styles.
The main residence is on the site of the former Eridge Castle. It was rebuilt in in the 1930s in neo-Georgian style and commands spectacular views of the Park.
Other buildings include hunting lodges, castle-like follies, stables, courtyards and a picturesque white-painted wooden cricket pavilion overlooking the Estate’s cricket pitch.
